And so, Stan has decided to throw in the towel. After all, you can't argue with your boss.
But he's got one ally in Afghanistan - the puppet who does America's bidding. Mr. Karzai shall no doubt lose no opportunity of attempting to clear his name and somewhat tarnished reputation as a first-class crook.
Talking of crooks, our wonderful, good, kind, democratic ally over the pond is once more sticking its nose in where it isn't wanted - this time in Jamaica. It would appear that the Monroe Doctrine still holds true - at least in the Caribbean (they're having a little trouble with it in Bolivia and Venezuela!). And, guess what? We used to have Tony, George's crony, pontificating about how we've got to help poor little America in its hour of need. But now that the REAL party of Stars and Stripes - the big boys who inflicted stripes on their fags' backsides at public school until they saw stars - are back in power, on The World at One we have a junior member of this lively fraternity, Rory Stewart MP., pontificating on Stan the Man and what a loss he would be to America's attempts to exploit the Afghan people.
Things don't change, do they?
