POPE BENEDICT XVI, DAVID CAMERON AND HIS "BIG" SOCIETY.

The arrival of a reactionary pontiff on the streets of Edinburgh and Glasgow, much to the discomfort and discomfiture of the citizens of the above metropoles, was no coincidence. So far as the ruling elite are concerned, working people have had it too easy since the days of rationing and, since they cannot be brought to heel either by the masquerading hypocrisy which was part and parcel of the last papal visit at the time when the destruction of the Warsaw Pact was being planned, they must be taught another lesson in bowing to those wiser than themselves in ecclesiastical and political matters.

The sympathetic insinuation with which Pope Benedict is going to butter Cameron up is evidenced by a preview of what his political statements are going to be - we have got to back America in all things (including welfare reform): we have got to support "faith" schools in the name of religion, and we have got to support the family, a concept dear to David Cameron's Conservative heart. By these means, we shall create the "big society" (something of a change from the society composed of individuals, David!) and our rulers shall rule happily ever after - while we slave and starve for them.

Fortunately the unions have not lost their militant spirit, desirable as it is in these times of duress. Trade unionists are the only representatives the working man or woman has, and their muscle must be used to the full in our attempt to wrest power from the band of crooks and cut-throat politicians who have seized power in our name.

"FAITH" SCHOOLS

The argument behind "faith" schools has little or nothing to do with the practical application of Christianity, as the donations to hard-pressed areas of the world do, and everything to do with Western hegemony in the politically globalized sphere. In order to ensure that America and its British poodle, together with Dozy Sarkozy's Hitleresque treatment of the Romany people and the strangulation of German working people under Merkel - this despite Germany's comparative affluence - is maintained, a certain norm in the "education" of our youth has to be established. Hence "faith" schools.

THE TRUTH ABOUT PAUL HILL

The truth about Paul Hill is that he was a plain-and-simple murderer.

Repeatedly in the Gospels, Our Lord commands us not to resist evil and to leave vengeance to God. Americans, though, can't do that. They must send their soldiers to maim and kill the natives of Iraq and Afghanistan, plan a nuclear war with Iran behind the scenes, and pray for the death of their President because he wishes the rich to pay their fair share. When a self-styled preacher kills a doctor in cold blood for performing abortions (how would any of you self-righteous hypocrites like it if your 13-year-old daughter announced that she was pregnant?) and is justly sent to the chair, people are up in arms. But when U.S. marines burn Vietnamese girls with napalm, or bayonet the women and children of Mylai to death for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, it's fine.

Let's face it, America - God is rather angry with you at the moment.

THE SNUBBING OF THE KING

Congratulations to the RMT union for doing what every self-respecting trade unionist should haveone when the Big Banker got up to make his speech in favour of Con-Dem cuts.

We don't need bankers sorting us out. We don't need American financiers selling mortgages irresponsibly and thereby starting an economic crisis for which we're expected to pay. And, at a time of supposed economic austerity, we don't need Tony Blair fixing up a visit on the part of the Pope (now THERE'S a poor Christian despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief!) to the tune of £12 million. Feted by the Queen (head of a rival Church - and here's me thinking that the Church's one foundation is Jesus Christ Our LORD, of course I could be wrong!), greeted by crowds in Edinburgh and Glasgow to the general discomfiture of the local populace - I don't know.

We don't need bankers or wizards from Germany. But we do need workers working in jobs with decent wages. FIGHT FOR THE RIGHT TO WORK!

MARXISM AND THE BIBLE - ALLIES, NOT ENEMIES

When will the progressive movement realise that it is religion, not the Word of God, which is its Satanically-inspired enemy?

Nothing could possibly delight the Devil more than the sight of thousands of men and women in the prime of life being butchered in Iraq and Afghanistan in the name of religion and its true ally, capitalism. The Americanist argument against socialism is that socialists wish to spend other people's money. By what right does the entrepeneur have anything at all while there is one single starving child in the world? And after hearing the tripe emanating from "President" Pat on the subject of Haiti, you begin to see through the miasma to the truth - that religion is an exercise in capitalist exploitation.

Oh, by the way, I believe in Heaven. What I don't believe in is Sugarcandy Mountain.

HAGEE AND HIS CRAP

We in Europe have all seen the development of Fascist tendencies within the United States' ruling class since the time of Reagan, and we have seen them take on a distinctly religious, messianic genre since Idiot Bush came to power. Our PM of the time, Mr. Blair, is known to be affected by religious hallucinations himself - which, no doubt, is why he arranged to have the Sedgefield pub shut so that he and Teetotle George could have an old boys' conversation a few years ago.

But while we're on the subject of teetotle Christian nutcases, we can't get much more of a fruit-and-nutcase than our friend John Hagee. The hordes of Islam are coming to destroy America - as though good, kind America's done nothing to them. And, as usual for a Yank, he quotes the traitor Churchill as a justification for nuking Teheran and thereby beginning World War III. No wonder psychoanalysis does a roaring trade in the States, what with Pox News, the Republican Party et.al!

Cameron, in his glib, public-school manner, is attempting to justify the attempted destitution of the working class by saying that Britain needs to pull its weight in international markets - and then, as though they have dropped from the skies, JOBS WILL COME!

Poppycock!

We all know that the cause of the monetary crisis is monetarism itself combined with American greed. Further to this, those of us who, like the acclaimed American journalist Robert Scheer, have an "ear to the ground" are aware not only that 9/11 was arranged by the powers that be but that everything that has occurred since is grist to the mill of the New World Order supported by Gordon Brown and other minions of the capitalist system.

They wish to take us to the brink of nuclear annihilation - then take over. It's all planned. And that's why Comrade Castro's warning is timely!
